  • this is important - both parties should agree that A’s ‘cat’ and B’s ‘cat’ are identical, or even adjacent, to be framed as such - language is so variable and no tagging system takes this into account - defining the thing in relation to other things - think of wikipedia’s disambiguation page, this is a better way to do it surely (and the most intersubjective is highlighted above edge cases? but also highlighted options should be those that correspond with your network and your specific topic/task so context determines the most likely ‘cat’ without it being an impenetrable algorithm recommendation as it would evidence similarities and pathways and trusted figures and contradictions - but also is this too deterministic in guiding people down dangerous pathways? maybe not if you always also see the pervading view of it highlighted?)
